Modified List of Witnesses submitted by the House Prosecutor
The House Prosecutor first filed a list of witnesses on Jan. 21, but at the beginning of the trial, the prosecutor sought to modify the list based on information not available when the original filing occurred.

The House Prosecutor also, on the first day of the trial, filed a motion to enter additional documents and materials into the record. Among the new materials which the prosecutor asked to submit are audio tapes that were released to the prosecutor on Jan. 23. Those tapes and their accompanying transcripts are of four intercepted conversations involving the Governor and others. The tapes are related to the alleged plot to trade campaign contributions for favorable consideration of legislation affecting the Horse Racing Industry.

To provide information about the oversight and procedural steps for obtaining authorization to intercept oral or wire communications, which is relevant to the authenticity of four court-authorized intercepts as quoted and summarized in the Affidavit of Special Agent Daniel Cain.

Representative Chapin Rose

The plea agreement between the US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and Ali Ata; the testimony of Ali Ata in US v Rezko; the plea agreement between the US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and Joseph Cari; the testimony of Joseph Cari in US v Rezko, v) the Governor's improper control and influence over the Health Facilities Planning Board; and to summarize material contained in the House record and testify to the injury to the State of Illinois from the Governor's abuse of power described herein

Vicki Thomas (Executive Director of JCAR)
